Unexpected Compliment
Today I went to yoga for the first time in a couple of weeks. My knees, especially my right knee, have been very stiff, so I tried to be careful in all the poses, not twisting as far or as deep as I sometimes do. After class I was explaining all of this to the teacher, how I was holding back and why, and she said, "Well, your spine looked good today, very clear."
My spine glowed with pleasure.

What's a "clear" spine? Is that anything like a clear conscience?
Scrivener: It does sound like it should mean someothing like that, doesn't it? I think probably she meant straight, or clearly articulated....
