In case you were wondering . . .
Here I am, still kicking. Into Week 5 of the six-week summer teaching gig, which is a second job for me, in the evening, and much more intense than teaching during the school year since the summer courses meet every night except Friday. I am loving it. Good students, only twelve of them. My day seems to come into focus when I get ready to see them at 5:45 every night to continue talking about the novels we have been reading. It's addictive in a good way.
Still, it is something of a marathon. And the temperatures in the big city are broiling hot. I am pleased to be home after the long day, enjoying the air conditioning.
Uh-oh, was that a light flickering? May be time to shut one of the ACs.
Will keep you posted.

Good to hear from you. I wish I could go into the Big City this summer and try to meet, but I don't think it'll be this time. We'll have to go in the next year, though, because if we move again we'll be even further away. :-(
I still cannot believe that I lived only 2h from there for SIX years and went so few times. Sigh.
I'm glad you're enjoying the summer teaching!
Thanks, Lilian, nice to hear from you.
I hope you do make it here one of these days and look me up!
